Character Personality:
Estellise is a character that perhaps one could falsely believe they could pinpoint. A perfect princess. Easily persuadable. Incapable of making her own conclusions. A girl who just happens to be a tool to an empire. True while that's what she initially was, she is also much more than that. With the proper catalyst she has been able to grow to a greater potential, perhaps not her full potential, but of one that's proof she was not allowed to grow psychologically for a very long time.
At her core, Estellise is kind and compassionate, to a point that she could be easily manipulated. She honestly wants the best for everyone, and before she started on her journey, she believed that meant bending to everyone's will and doing what everyone asks of her to ensure her 'role' is played. When she meets a character by the name if Yuri Lowell, he teaches her she can be so much more than that. From his own words, he specifies that she is a good person and in need of protection, as if she was a rare entity in their world. This also embodies her healing capabilities which is a gift she is thankful to have. It gives her a role when she's not playing the 'empire's princess'. In her own words, she specifies that all she thought she had to do was heal and be thanked, and she thought that was enough, but she quickly learns there's so much more that she needs to satisfy her.
To establish her kindness some more, it's clear that she's a type of person who quickly trusts people. And such trust is a double edged sword, but also such unconditional trust has gained her the invaluable friends she has now. And with such friends she becomes protective of them, drawing out what she believes are good traits in them. When others think of themselves as evil, Estelle is the first to tell them why they are good. To bluntly put it, like her nickname, she is almost like the star that guides everyone, even if it's something she subconsciously does.
However, she needs guidance herself. Given her life of being locked up in a palace, she doesn't know how to fend for herself. She has been shown to make choices that would harm herself in the end because she only knows how to care for others' well-beings and not her own. In a sense, she doesn't know how to truly be selfish. Her true selfishness is that of forcing her friends to help others. That's what truly brings her satisfaction in life -- not physical things, but words of gratitude from others. And it's because of that kind of outlook she has, she's trusted more than anyone to guide Brave Vesperia in the right direction. They will tell her if she exerts them too much, but they also trust her judgement.
She also has a curiosity that is difficult to be satiated. Combined with an attention span of a fly at times, she's someone her friends have learned to keep a trained eye on, especially in ruins or libraries. The moment she spots something that catches her eye, she runs off, and if she finds a book, it's difficult for her friends to regain her attention once more.
In regards to books, Estelle is quite an academic. Her internal encyclopedia is almost always accurate, and the only one who can even think of disproving what Estelle knows is her genius mage friend, Rita. Once she read something, it's shown that she memorizes it and just as quickly can regurgitate the information when she is prompted. This is her natural smarts and not any ability by far. But with such genius also comes a great weakness. She's not terribly good at a thing called 'common sense'. Growing up in the castle means that she doesn't quite know how the outside world works or how to judge people or any of the sort. It's why she needs the protection of someone when she's in the outside world. Normally, that someone happens to be Yuri Lowell, and when it's not, it's Rita.
Both of the aforementioned people have described Estelle as a truly good person. Perhaps being inside the castle all that time has done everything but corrupt the girl. Even being in the outside world hasn't corrupted her in the least -- it's only furthered her altruism and how she wishes to help her people (and even those who aren't in her Empire) who are in need. While she does mature, learn to make more proper choices, take other factors into account and the such, one thing she never loses is her innocence.
Another thing to note about Estelle is she's easy to read, like an open book. Lies don't fit her character and when she tries to hide something, usually people tend to look the other way and pretend that maybe she is hiding something -- like the fact she's a princess or her ability to heal others without the aid of a Blastia. Though one thing she can hide really well is when she herself is in pain. Wearing a smile at all times is what she's supposed to do, and showing anything but that is difficult for her. During the course of the game, she learns that it's okay to convey her pain, that it's okay to be sad and cry for herself, though she can only truly show herself like that to Yuri and maybe Rita.
When it comes to Yuri, she's more true to herself, possibly because she's one of the very few people who can read him like an open book. She sees the good in him when he wants everyone else to see him as evil. But he's also the only one she trusted to kill her when she was being controlled by Alexei. While she appears to trust people unconditionally, the trust she has in Yuri is a lot more than the trust she has in anyone else. The same goes for her best friend, Rita. She lets them know they both are amazing at what they do, and sometimes she forgets that they're human just like her. And they are both glad to remind her that they're all human.
All in all, Estelle on the outside is kind and easy to get along with. That's what she wants since putting a smile on everyone's face is what she'd like to do. But she also enjoys the thrill of traveling, the enticement of a new book, the exhilaration of a new culture's food... Just the excitement of new things she can learn and discover. But still be able to help people along the way.
Because while she's altruistic, she's selfish about it.
Character Abilities: http://aselia.wikia.com/wiki/ToV_-_Estelle:_Artes
Estelle is skilled in the holy and healing artes and what she trains in the most magic wise. Though she's also quite skilled with a sword and will boast to everyone that 'she knows how to use a sword'. Don't doubt her abilities, or mock her, because she would be glad to show you just how skilled she is. Which is pretty darned skilled. For someone who appears as docile and innocent as her, she's quite the fighter and is more than willing to defend herself when push comes to shove. While she's never malicious in battle, she can and will kill anyone who is out to kill her, as much as she doesn't like it.
Character Inventory: A shield, sword, her clothing, some gels, her mother's memento, and that should be it.

Halure is a place that's magical to Estelle -- the constant showering of petals over the city is always an inspiration as she brings her pen to her paper. What should she write about this time? It's so tempting to write about the spirit of the tree again, but perhaps she should be bold and try to write about something new. Perhaps about something she ran into on her journey. Maybe about someone mystical and amazing! A gentle smile comes to her face as she realizes what kind of hero the children would want to hear about.
Yes, this is the story about the Dragon Rider.
The boys will enjoy the heroism of this dragon rider as they go about on their journey. It's lonely, but the dragon rider is strong. However, Estelle believes that the girls will appreciate that the dragon rider is a girl, a woman who fights for her own values but is still a very lovely person. Perhaps Estelle can't help but think that this 'dragon rider' is a mystical person as well. Though her eyebrows furrow just a bit. Should she contact Judith before she even begins writing such a story? The last thing she would want to hear is for Judith to come by and be upset with her for writing a story she shouldn't have.
But it was such a good idea! For now she writes the idea down, then thinks on a new one. Looking out her window, she can see the bright full moon. Yes, that's it.
She should expand on the tale of the Child of the Full Moon. And how she reunited with Brave Vesperia. They're tales together and how Brave Vesperia not only saved the world, but saved his dear sister, the Child of the Full Moon. Yes, this is the kind of story the world needs to hear. A story she wants to share with everyone. Because Brave Vesperia is her hero.
Her pen starts to move on the paper fervently, not stopping as she pens a few paragraphs. Holding the paper up, she's satisfied with how it starts. It was how her journey started -- how she nearly clocked Yuri over the head with a vase, how she told him she needed to leave the castle. She can't help but giggle at her decisions back then, but she's glad she made them.
That was her first real decision, and that decision changed her life.
And for that, she's glad.
